Iwan

Iwan is a Welsh and Polish form of John, ultimately derived from the Hebrew name Yochanan, meaning God is gracious. In Wales it has been used as the standard Welsh rendering of the biblical name, while in Poland it functions as a variant alongside the more common Jan. The name shares its roots with a wide family of European cognates including Ivan, Ioan, and Johannes.
