Kaapro

Kaapro is a Finnish form of Gabriel, ultimately derived from the Hebrew name Gavri'el, meaning God is my strong man or God is my strength, composed of the elements gever (strong man, hero) and el (God). The name entered Finnish use as an adaptation of the biblical archangel Gabriel, who appears in both the Hebrew scriptures and the New Testament as a divine messenger. It remains rare in Finland today. Closely related forms include the Finnish Kaapo as well as the widely used international variants Gabriel and Gabriele.
