Kaitlynn

Kaitlynn is a modern English elaboration of Caitlin, itself the Irish form of Cateline, the Old French version of Katherine. The root of Katherine is disputed but is often traced to the Greek name Aikaterine, possibly connected to the Greek word katharos, meaning pure. The name gained wide popularity in English-speaking countries during the late twentieth century, frequently appearing in variant spellings.
