Kynthia

Kynthia is a variant spelling of Cynthia, derived from the ancient Greek Kynthia, meaning "woman of Mount Kynthos," a sacred hill on the island of Delos. The name originated as an epithet of the goddess Artemis, who according to myth was born on that mountain alongside her twin brother Apollo. It gained widespread use as a given name during the Renaissance and later became fashionable in English-speaking countries from the eighteenth century onward. Closely related forms include Cynthia, Cindy, and Synthia.
