Libbie

Libbie is an English diminutive of Elizabeth, which traces back through Latin and Greek Elisabet to the Hebrew name Elisheba, meaning something along the lines of my God is an oath or my God is abundance. The name gained widespread use in the English-speaking world as an affectionate short form, particularly popular in the nineteenth century.
