Louison

Louison is a French diminutive of Louise, itself the feminine form of Louis, which derives from the Old High German name Hludwig, composed of the elements hlud (famous, renowned) and wig (warrior). The name was used in France from the medieval period onward and gained particular charm as an affectionate or rustic form, appearing in French literature and folk culture. Molière gave the name to a character in his comedy Le Médecin malgré lui, helping cement its place in the French cultural imagination.
