Madalyn

Madalyn is an English respelling of Madeline, which derives from the Latin Magdalena, itself from the Greek Magdalēnē, meaning "of Magdala," referring to a town on the Sea of Galilee whose name may come from the Hebrew migdal, meaning "tower." The name became widely used in the Christian world through Mary Magdalene, a prominent figure in the New Testament.
