Phoibe

Phoibe is the Ancient Greek feminine form of Phoibos, derived from the Greek root phoibos meaning bright or pure. In Greek mythology, Phoibe was a Titaness associated with the moon and with the oracle at Delphi, and the name was also borne by several other minor mythological figures. It appears in the New Testament as the name of a deaconess in Paul's letter to the Romans, which helped preserve its use in early Christian contexts. The Latinized form Phoebe became the dominant variant in later Western tradition and remains widely used today.
