Samu

Samu is a Finnish and Hungarian short form of Samuel, a Hebrew name built from the elements shemu (name or heard) and el (God), traditionally interpreted as meaning God has heard. The name gained widespread use through the biblical figure of Samuel, the prophet and judge who anointed the first kings of Israel.
