Sofiia

Sofiia is the Ukrainian form of Sophia, a name of ancient Greek origin derived from the word sophia, meaning wisdom. The name gained widespread use across the Christian world partly through its association with Hagia Sophia, the great church in Constantinople dedicated to the holy wisdom of God, as well as through several early saints bearing the name. Sofiia follows Ukrainian spelling conventions, distinguishing it from the more internationally common Sophia and Sofia forms found across European languages.
