Sue

Sue is an English short form of Susan, which derives from the Hebrew name Shoshannah, meaning lily or rose. The name passed into English through the Greek Susanna and the Latin Susanna, carried in part by the biblical figure Susanna from the deuterocanonical Book of Daniel.
