Tin is a Croatian masculine given name, functioning as a short form of names beginning with the element tin-, most notably the medieval Latin name Martinus, from which the Croatian hypocoristic developed through reduction. It gained widespread recognition largely through the celebrated Croatian poet Tin Ujević (1891–1938), one of the most prominent figures in twentieth-century South Slavic literature.
