Ulrika

Ulrika is a Swedish feminine form of Ulrich, itself derived from the Old High German name Udalrich, composed of the elements uodal, meaning "heritage" or "ancestral estate," and rih, meaning "power" or "ruler." The name was borne by several European noblewomen and gained wider recognition through figures such as the Swedish queen Ulrika Eleonora, who reigned in the early eighteenth century. Closely related forms include Ulrike in German and Ulrica in older Scandinavian and English usage.
