Adrianne

Adrianne is a feminine form of the Latin name Adrianus, itself derived from Hadrianus, meaning "from Hadria," a town in northern Italy that also gave its name to the Adriatic Sea. The name became widely known through the Roman emperor Publius Aelius Hadrianus, commonly called Hadrian, who ruled in the second century. Adrianne represents one of several anglicized feminine adaptations of this ancient root, sitting alongside Adriana, Adrienne, and Hadria.
