Amilia

Amilia is an English variant spelling of Amelia, which itself derives from the Germanic root amal, associated with industriousness and the Amal dynasty of the Visigoths. The name gained widespread popularity in the English-speaking world partly through the Hanoverian royal family in the eighteenth century. Amilia sits alongside other variant forms such as Amelia, Emilia, and Amélie.
