Anastasiia

Anastasiia is a Ukrainian feminine given name derived from the Greek Anastasia, itself from anastasis, meaning resurrection. It shares its roots with the widely used Anastasia and the Russian form Anastasiya, all ultimately tracing back to the same Greek theological concept central to Christian belief. The name was borne by several early Christian martyrs, most notably Saint Anastasia of Sirmium, which helped spread it throughout the Orthodox and Catholic worlds. Anastasia, Anastasiya, and Stasya are among the closely related forms found across Slavic and other European traditions.
