Harrietta is an English feminine name formed as an elaborated variant of Harriet, itself the English feminine form of Harry, a medieval vernacular form of Henry. Henry derives from the Old French Henr(i), ultimately from the Germanic name Heimirich, composed of the elements heim, meaning home, and ric, meaning power or ruler.
