Hinnerk

Hinnerk is a Low German form of Heinrich, itself derived from the Old High German name Heimirich, composed of the elements heim, meaning home, and rih, meaning ruler or power. The name is chiefly used in northern Germany, where Low German dialects historically gave rise to this distinctive regional pronunciation. It shares its ultimate roots with the widely distributed Heinrich and its many European cognates, including Henry, Henri, and Hendrik.
