Hrodperht is an Old High German given name composed of two Germanic elements: hrod, meaning glory or fame, and beraht, meaning bright or shining. The name thus carries the sense of one who is gloriously bright or renowned for brilliance, a combination highly favored in early medieval Germanic naming traditions.
