Isabele

Isabele is a Portuguese variant of Isabel, itself the medieval Iberian and Occitan form of Elizabeth, which derives from the Hebrew name Elisheba, meaning something like my God is an oath or my God is abundance. The name spread widely through medieval Europe partly through the influence of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary and various Iberian queens named Isabel. Isabele is particularly associated with Brazilian Portuguese usage. Related forms include Isabella, Isabela, Isabel, and Elisabeth.
