Ivan

Ivan is the Slavic form of John, itself derived from the Hebrew name Yohanan, meaning God is gracious. It has been one of the most common masculine names throughout Russian and broader Slavic history, borne by six tsars of Russia, most notably Ivan III, who consolidated the Russian state, and the fearsome Ivan IV, known as Ivan the Terrible.
