Ywain

Ywain is a name found chiefly in medieval Arthurian legend, representing an Old French rendering of the Welsh name Owain. Owain itself derives from the Latin Eugenius, ultimately from the Greek Eugenios, meaning well-born or of noble stock. In Arthurian tradition Ywain is a Knight of the Round Table, son of King Urien, most famously featured in Chrétien de Troyes's twelfth-century romance Yvain, the Knight of the Lion.
