Zachery

Zachery is an English given name derived from the Hebrew name Zechariah, meaning God has remembered, formed from the elements zakar (to remember) and yah (a shortened form of the divine name YHWH). The name was borne by numerous figures in the Hebrew Bible, most notably the prophet Zechariah, which helped establish its lasting use in Christian communities. It entered English-speaking traditions largely through the biblical form Zacharias and has since developed several spelling variants.
