Zach

Zach is an English short form of Zachary, which itself derives from the Hebrew name Zechariah, meaning God has remembered. The name was borne by several figures in the Hebrew Bible, most prominently the prophet Zechariah, and gained widespread use in English-speaking countries partly through its New Testament bearer, the father of John the Baptist. Zach functions both as a familiar nickname and as an independent given name. Related forms include Zack, Zacharias, and Zachariah.
