Kristian

Kristian is a Scandinavian and Finnish form of Christian, ultimately derived from the Latin Christianus, meaning follower of Christ, which itself traces back to the Greek Christos, the anointed one. The name has been borne by numerous Danish and Norwegian kings, most notably Christian IV of Denmark, a prominent ruler of the early seventeenth century, which helped cement its popularity across the Nordic countries.
