Lucille

Lucille is a French feminine diminutive of Lucia, itself the feminine form of the Latin name Lucius, derived from the root lux meaning light. The name carried the same luminous connotations as its Latin ancestor throughout medieval and early modern Europe. It became widely familiar in the English-speaking world in the twentieth century, owing in part to the American comedian and actress Lucille Ball.
