Drika

Drika is a Germanic short form and hypocoristic of Hendrika or Frederika, themselves feminine forms of Hendrik and Frederik, rooted in the Old High German elements haim meaning home and rīk meaning power or ruler, and frithu meaning peace combined with rīk respectively. It developed as an affectionate pet form in Dutch and Scandinavian naming traditions, where longer compound names were commonly shortened for everyday use.
