Hettie

Hettie is an English diminutive form, arising as a pet form of both Henrietta and Hester. Henrietta derives ultimately from the Germanic name Heimiric, composed of the elements heim, meaning home, and ric, meaning power or ruler, while Hester is an English variant of Esther, a name of debated origin that may relate to the Persian word for star or to the Babylonian goddess Ishtar.
