Dorean

Dorean is an English name that appears to be a variant of Doreen, itself derived from Dora, a short form of Dorothy or Theodora, both ultimately rooted in the Greek elements doron, meaning gift, and theos, meaning god. The name may also have been influenced by the Irish name Doireann, of uncertain but ancient Celtic origin. Doreen gained wider use in the English-speaking world during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, partly through literary exposure.
